WHAT IS THE POSITION?
- Analyze transportation needs, establish the necessary processes and partnerships;
- Identify transportation partners and establish partnership agreements (rate, service level, etc.);
- Plan shipments of international orders;
- Prepare documentation for imports and exports;
- Monitor carrier performance, measure and communicate KPIs;
- Improve service, delivery times and costs;
- Collaborate with the shipping team to optimize service level and costs;
- Collaborate with customer service, planning and sales to optimize transportation planning;
- Measure and manage transportation indicators (costs, delays, penalties, etc.);
- Perform various related tasks.
Are you the next member of the team we are looking for?
- BBA specialization in Logistics and Operations Management or DEC in Logistics combined with relevant work experience, or any other specialization deemed relevant;
- Approximately 3 years of relevant experience;
- Good knowledge of operations and transportation challenges;
- Bilingual (French and English): read, written and spoken;
- Knowledge of import-export processes;
- Knowledge of the manufacturing and warehouse environment (an asset);
- Computer skills: Good command of the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning programs (ERP, MRP);
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS);
- Be logical and methodical;
- Demonstrate resourcefulness;
- Be good at interpersonal communication;
- Recognize and conmmunicate opportunities for improvement;
- Be a team player;
