WHAT IS THE POSITION?

  • Analyze transportation needs, establish the necessary processes and partnerships;
  • Identify transportation partners and establish partnership agreements (rate, service level, etc.);
  • Plan shipments of international orders;
  • Prepare documentation for imports and exports;
  • Monitor carrier performance, measure and communicate KPIs;
  • Improve service, delivery times and costs;
  • Collaborate with the shipping team to optimize service level and costs;
  • Collaborate with customer service, planning and sales to optimize transportation planning;
  • Measure and manage transportation indicators (costs, delays, penalties, etc.);
  • Perform various related tasks.

Are you the next member of the team we are looking for?

  • BBA specialization in Logistics and Operations Management or DEC in Logistics combined with relevant work experience, or any other specialization deemed relevant;
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Good knowledge of operations and transportation challenges;
  • Bilingual (French and English): read, written and spoken;
  • Knowledge of import-export processes;
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing and warehouse environment (an asset);
  • Computer skills: Good command of the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel;
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning programs (ERP, MRP);
  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS);
  • Be logical and methodical;
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness;
  • Be good at interpersonal communication;
  • Recognize and conmmunicate opportunities for improvement;
  • Be a team player;
  • Be goal-oriented;
  • Ability to manage priorities, organize and plan.
