YOUR DAILY LIFE WILL BE BUSY WITH:
Your main responsibilities include the design and development of case interior fittings, including bespoke foam interiors, customization of foam interiors and other packaging-related requirements.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings of foam case interiors based on customer requirements;
• Produce detailed drawings for manufacturing;
• Update drawings, parts lists (BOMs) and documentation as required;
• Request quotations from different suppliers and coordinate sample orders;
• Provide technical support to customer service and sales teams;
• Perform quality control on incoming custom foam production to ensure compliance with specifications;
• Work closely with the foam interiors production department, including supervising assembly when required;
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
YOU'RE OUR IDEAL PERSON IF YOU CAN TICK THE MAJORITY OF THESE BOXES:
• Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in industrial design, or related program;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (2D and 3D);
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook;
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines;
• Communicate effectively with clients and other departments;
• Ability to solve problems;
• Excellent written and spoken in English and French (to support international clients)
• Creative, versatile and resourceful;
• A portfolio of previous work is required.
