WHAT DOES THE POSITION CONSIST OF?
- Manage and coordinate the assembly lines as well as the screen printing department in order to guarantee an optimal level of service and efficiency;
- With his Operational Excellence colleagues and different teams, analyze production processes and evaluate their efficiency, using the necessary performance indicators (KPIs);
- Monitor the workforce plan and develop the flexibility needed to achieve the production plan while optimizing efficiency;
- Ensure that the equipment, tools, methods and instructions for the production cells are available and adequate to avoid waste and loss of time in order to optimize resources and service;
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for continuous improvement and productivity;
- Ensure the development and monitoring of processes in terms of production, quality, health and safety rules;
- Conduct active supervision rounds with supervisors in order to prevent and resolve production issues directly at the source;
- Motivate and evaluate the staff under his/her responsibility and revise expectations or objectives based on individual performance and support team members in the development of their skills;
- Communicate objectives to his/her teams and ensure the development and implementation of action plans;
- With the collaboration of his manager, participate in the planning and management of the operational budget under his supervision;
- Implement and proceed with the production of reports and a report on the status of his department (productivity, delivery time, production start-up, status of orders, etc.),
- Prepare and present the operational information to the operations management;
- Ensure with his/her manager that the necessary resources (financial / human / material) are available to achieve the objectives and coordinate the assessment of staff needs;
- Work closely with all company resources to lead with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive and productive environment;
- Perform various related tasks.
ARE YOU THE NEXT MEMBER OF THE TEAM WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations and logistics, or in business administration, or other relevant training;
- 10 years of experience in operations management;
- Results oriented;
- Change management and collaboration skills;
- Demonstrate a practical operational approach, hands-on leadership;
- Bilingualism, French and English, spoken and written;
- Knowledge of implementation and monitoring of performance indicators (MES);
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, Knowledge of Business Central, an asset;
- Experience in implementing MRP, MES and other systems (an asset);
- Knowledge of good management practices and continuous improvement ("Lean manufacturing", Kanban, Kaisen, TPS, 5S);
- Knowledge of the manufacturing environment.
